Water Drops

________________________________________________

This one was kind of a happy accident.  It was an in-between shot and my flash didn't fire so the only light it got was from my reflector. It was way underexposed but the water drops looked great, with no editing.  Make sure and click on the picture to see it larger.

Virgin Galactic Unviels Commercial Space Ship

I've been saying for a while that if I hit the lottery or somehow came into a bunch of money I would go to Russia and have them shoot me into space.  Luckily, now I only need $200,000, instead of about $45 Million.  Should've put that on my X-mas list...

"At the unveiling, the spacecraft was attached to its carrier plane. The plane will carry the spacecraft and its six passengers and two pilots to an altitude of 50,000 feet before releasing it.
From there, a rocket motor will carry the craft the rest of the way to the edge of space -- about 325,000 feet, or 60 miles, from Earth. Passengers will be able not only to see the curvature of their planet but to experience weightlessness."     -John Johnson Jr., LA Times

Duke vs. St John's 12/5, 80-71

Had the opportunity of going to see Duke play St. John's at Cameron on Saturday last week.  The two times I have actually been able to go and see them play it has been versus St. John's but instead of The Garden we happened on tickets to see them at home.   Cameron Indoor is great, really more of a high school gym than a basketball stadium, but that's what is kind of nice about it.  The Red Storm did play a pretty good game though, lots of nice passes and inside plays.  Alas, GO DUKE!!

UPDATE:  I decided to put a jump in here since there is a lot of pictures.  Click "read more" or the picture above and scroll down to see the rest.

I got the blues-train-a-comin' blues

Enjoying a day off...

I had Monday off last week so I went for a little stroll down at the river.  The weather was beautiful but the river was really high, a lot of the usual paths were under water so there was plenty of trailblazing.  I had to go down the railroad for a little way, but luckily a train did come by.  Those will come after these.

I was down there alone but when I saw this it made me laugh aloud...
I figured this was a good note to end on.
