Iv'e gotten five coats of oil on the back and sides now. It is starting to look pretty nice, and the tint in the oil ended up being exactly what I wanted. By the time my veneer comes I will be done with the tinting, so once it is applied I can give the whole body some more natural oil. I am pleased with the progress so far. Really this is the easy part though; it may be a different story when I have to re-wire everything.
